FYI...
Top Grain - The �finished� or top
level of a hide. Used in higher priced gloves, or gloves that
need a smooth but durable finish.
Cowhide - The most common hide, from cattle. Extremely durable,
comes in many variations from split to supple top grain
finishes. Very versatile with applications ranging from welding
gloves, work gloves, aprons, clothing.
Kidskin - Hide from an adolescent goat. Extremely supple yet
very tough. The best leather known for use in TIG welding
gloves.

Deerskin - Hide from a deer. Very soft and supple leather. Gives excellent
dexterity. Works well in TIG gloves.
Pigskin - The hide that comes from a pig. Very tough and excellent in wet or
oily conditions.
Elkskin - Proven to be the best leather available for welding in higher heat
conditions. Elkskin molds to the hand and stays soft under high heat conditions,
resulting in less hand fatigue. It is also naturally resistant to oil and
moisture and does not crack or stiffen like cowhide.
